Can I wear a costume?

If I buy a tickets for the hourly prize raffle in support of Kerry's Place Autism Services , do I have to be there when the number is called?

...But I don't need to stick around all day for the door prize draw, right?

Can I participate in all of the Retro Video Game Challenges?

I'm interested in participating in the Custom Figure Showdown, but I have never done anything like that before. Where would I learn about that hobby?

Are you still taking dealer registrations?

Will anyone be selling food? Is there somewhere I can get lunch in the area?

If I have feedback, questions or concerns for show management, who should I speak to?
Where can I park during the show? Is there a cost for parking?
Parking is free in any of the spots surrounding the Thornhill Community Centre and attached library, and arena lots. Parking is prohibited in the reserved rows of the adjacent Santorini Restaurant. Those spots are reserved for customers of the restaurant (though we do recommend it as a place to go after; great food!) and unauthorized vehicles may be tagged and/or towed.

Is the Thornhill Community Centre wheelchair accessible?
Yes, there is a ramp leading up to the registration area from the entrance and the entire show takes place on one floor, with wide aisles to facilitate a comfortable browsing/ shopping experience.

If kids under 10 are free all day, can I drop them off at the show and pick them up later?
Kids under 10 are free all day, but must be accompanied by an adult with a paid admission (Early bird $10 at 11 am, Regular $5 at 12 pm).

Are there discounts on admission if I am coming with a large group of people?
Sign up for our newsletter and we'll send you a Buy-One-Get-One Free Admission coupon!

What payment methods are acceptable for the admission charge?
We accept cash and credit card ($0.50 fee for credit card option, per admission).

Do exhibitors/ dealers take all forms of payments?
While most exhibitors accept a variety of payment options (cash, credit card, interac) there are some who may only accept cash. While there is an ATM on site, we recommend using banking machines in the area near the venue.

Do you sell tickets for early floor trading during set-up?
While we don't support this practice (since it creates potential theft and other security issues), we do have an early-bird admission option that starts an hour prior (11 am) to general admission (12 pm).

Will there only be toys and collectibles related to Science Fiction?
While the main focus of the show will be on Sci-Fi and related items, our exhibitors will also be bringing a variety of toys and related items (comics, memorabilia) from the 70's to the present. Check out our Exhibitor list, with links to dealer pages.

Is re-entry permitted if I need to leave during the show but want to come back
later?
Re-entry is permitted provided that you still have a handstamp and the room is not at fire-code capacity. Kids under 10 still need to be accompanied by a paid adult to gain re-admittance.

Can I wear a costume?
Please do! We will be having a costume contest for both kids and adults and prizes of vouchers which can be used like cash at any dealer table! Check the event schedule (available Oct. 19) for details.

If I buy a tickets for the hourly prize raffle in support of Kerry's Place Autism Services , do I have to be there when the number is called?
Yes,  you must be there to claim your prize in person (within 10 min. of number being called and posted, after which time a new number will be drawn and posted). A raffle schedule will be posted a week prior to the event, so you can plan your visit around the draws in which you are most interested.

...But I don't need to stick around all day for the door prize draw, right?
No, in the event that the winner of the door prize is not there to collect the prize in person, we will contact them by email and arrange pick-up.

Can I participate in all of the Retro Video Game Challenges?
You may participate in as many of the challenges as you like, however, individuals are only eligible to win one prize for the day.

I'm interested in participating in the Custom Figure Showdown, but I have never done anything like that before. Where would I learn about that hobby?
Check out our Custom Corner, for links to tutorials and local suppliers!

Are you still taking dealer registrations?
At the time of this writing, there are a few single spaces available, which we expect will be filled just prior to the event. Should you be interested in setting up, please complete an online application and we will get back to you with your status.

Will anyone be selling food? Is there somewhere I can get lunch in the area?
There is a possibility that the snack bar in the Arena building (attached) may be open and there are snack, drink machines throughout (use at own risk; we are not responsible for malfunction resulting in loss of money; we don't own these machines). There is a Greek restaurant (Santorini, just east of the community centre), as well as a Subway and a coffee shop in the adjacent plaza.

If I have feedback, questions or concerns for show management, who should I speak to?
Any issues, questions or comments can be reported to the registration desk, just outside the hall. Show managers will be circulating regularly but will make time to address anything brought to our attention. Should you prefer to address anything in writing, feel free to contact us at totoyfair@gmail.com and we will send you a response within 48 hrs
