Suppliers

Sculpture Supply Canada
Located in Mississauga, this is a great place to order Apoxie Sculpt (which is harder to find at other shops in the GTA) plus a huge selection of professional grade tools and a variety of other materials.

Zoom Room
Located in Newmarket, this store focuses primarily on die cast/ radio controlled models but has a decent selection of materials useful in customizing (model acrylic paints, detail brushes and sheet styrene).

Wheels, Wings And Hobbies
Located on the Danforth in Toronto, this is another model specialty store, however, they have a plethora of tools (sculpting tools, craft knives, hand drills, files, precision applicators, tweezers) and a wide selection of paints and finishing materials. They also have a decent sized styrene section (sheets, rods, strips).

Meeplemart
Located in the heart of downtown Toronto (Spadina and Dundas), this store is a great place to go for paints, adhesives and unique products like "Instant Mold". They have more of a focus on gaming/ miniatures so you will also find many items that are useful for creating environments or dioramas.

Deserres
With many locations spread throughout Ontario and Quebec, Deserres offers a great selection of sculpting tools, armature wire and polymer clay (such as Sculpey/ Super Sculpey) for those looking to build ready to paint items from scratch. The jewellery section will supply you with things like chains which will add realistic touches with minimal effort. Also good for brushes (synthetic or natural hair watercolor brushes work best) though it is recommended you do not use artist tube acrylic paints for customizing (best to use thinner, model paints).

Canadian Tire
I highly doubt that the store itself requires any explanation (if you live in Canada) but for customizers, this is a great place to look for discounts (on an almost weekly basis) on storage supplies (tool/tackle boxes for storing small parts), tools like pliers and cutters, rotary tools and accessories, heat guns and shelving units. Note that when buying tools, you get what you pay for, so avoid overpaying for fancy hammers at Michaels or throwing away money on easily breakable things from Dollar stores.
